Guided beer & chocolate pairing at the Midwest Craft Chocolate Festival 2024 – Indiana, United States
November 23, 2024 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
$40
Join expert David Nilsen for a Guided beer & chocolate pairing at the Midwest Craft Chocolate Festival this November 2024.
NOTE: This is an add on to the Midwest Craft Chocolate Festival on 23rd November at 2pm.
Craft chocolate and craft beer offer a world of flavor possibilities for pairing. While wine and chocolate often get more pairing attention (and can pair beautifully together as well), beer and chocolate pairing is something of an undiscovered frontier, with exciting and elegant flavor unions waiting to be explored. Join beer and chocolate writer David Nilsen for a guided pairing of 4 excellent courses of beer and chocolate. David will talk about the ingredients and processes behind each beer and chocolate, and walk attendees through a full sensory tasting of each pairing. You’ll have the chance to ask questions about the beers, chocolate, and pairing principles involved during this fun and educational event.
David is an Advanced Cicerone© and an award-winning member of the North American Guild of Beer Writers and the British Guild of Beer Writers. He is the host of the popular Bean to Barstool podcast that looks at the intersections of craft beer and craft chocolate, and the author of the book Pairing Beer and Chocolate: A Guide to Bringing the Flavors of Craft Beer and Craft Chocolate Together, which will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
Class is limited in size, and will be held at The Hideaway by BarMaids, 202 W 2nd St, Rushville, IN 46173. Must be over 21.
