Treat your senses to an unforgettable 2-hour workshop exploring the
art of candle making and the flavors of premium craft chocolate. This unique event combines hands-on instruction from two local artisan companies – Lovela + Company and Madhu Chocolate.
In the first hour, Danielle Nichols of
Lovela + Company will guide you through the process of pouring your own 12-ounce coconut crème wax candle. You’ll learn techniques for selecting the perfect fragrance blend, properly measuring wax, and crafting a beautifully customized candle to take home. All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with a unique, eco-friendly candle that will fill your space with warmth and ambiance. For the candle pouring, please wear slacks/long skirt, long sleeves/cardigan, and closed-toe shoes. An apron and safety gloves will be provided.
Then, in the second half of the workshop, the chocolate makers of
Madhu Chocolate will lead you on a tasting journey through their diverse, small-batch chocolate offerings. You’ll discover the nuanced flavor profiles that result from Madhu’s meticulous bean-to-bar process, exploring how factors like terroir, fermentation, and roasting techniques impact a chocolate’s taste. The tasting will be accompanied by thoughtful discussion, allowing you to develop a deeper appreciation for the art of chocolate making.
