Get Ready to Try the Best Chocolate
It’s an artisanal chocolate factory located in Mindo, northwest of Pichincha. Founders Claudia Ponce and Pierre Alain Molinari are passionate about fine and aromatic cacao, and this shared vision fuels the desire to combine their experiences to pursue the dream of creating their own chocolate factory with high organoleptic qualities.
Our chocolate is pure, handmade without preservatives or artificial flavors, and comes from batches of selected cocoa of aromatic varieties, which in Ecuador are called Nacional Fino y de Aroma.
The cacao that Yumbos Chocolate uses comes from the Los Ríos and Esmeraldas regions.
In the latter, we have established an ethical alliance with the Afro-Colombian women of AMATIF (Timbire Women for the Future Association).
This association brings together nearly 100 families who have always cultivated, on small plots, the famous varieties of Fine and Aroma Cacao (Criollo Blanco, Amendolado, Arriba, and others), an important agricultural, identity, and cultural legacy of their ancestors.
