Nut, Honey, Orange, Vanilla, Caramel
Loved It
At first bite, you're hit with the orange, so much so that you could be fooled into thinking it was simply an orange chocolate bar.
And THEN it starts morphing. There's this nuttiness sneaks that in there (which must be from the Hacienda Limon cacao itself). What's interesting is that the orange flavor takes a huge step back when the nuttiness comes through (must have a non-compete agreement there).
And then the burnt sugars come through giving you this beautiful, nutty, caramelly flavor.
Finally, the orange comes back a little, not as strong as before, but just a little wave to remind you where this all started.
Throughout, there's just this really enjoyable underlying hum from the Irish whiskey (think vanilla, possibly even honey), that goes well with that first orange flavor, goes even better with that nuttiness and is glorious with that burnt sugar, caramel, chocolate-y goodness
