An evening exploring the history of cacao in Ecuador through story, voice, and lived experience.
Author Susana Cárdenas presents Tierra Hermosa: An Ecuadorian Tale of Chocolate, a bilingual collection of 21 journalistic chronicles that trace the past and present history of cacao along Ecuador’s coast.
Told through a deeply human and feminine lens, the book brings together voices from archaeologists, historians, cacao producers, chocolate makers, at the heart of Ecuadorian cacao.
For this event, Susana will be joined by industry experts to talk cultural, agricultural, and individual stories that shape cacao from origin to chocolate. Your ticket price does not include the book. You may purchase the book for an additional fee.
