Dr Jessica Henderson will explore how your brain creates your perception of flavor and how sensory information can be altered to fundamentally change your experience.
We will explore various influencers of flavor focusing on altering the intensity of sweetness in chocolate samples. This clear and easy to understand presentation focuses on chocolate but is applicable to all food and drink. Join us for some fun surprises while we learn more about what influences your perception of flavor.

This tasting includes a kit with both chocolate and non-chocolate samples shipped the week of the event. The online event will be hosted on Zoom. All registered participants will receive a Zoom link to join the live presentation and a recording at their provided email within 2 days of event.
Your instructor, Jessica Henderson is a published scientist with a PhD in Neuroscience from Wake Forest University and has taught about sensation and perception at the college level. She developed this course for chocolate connoisseurs and chocolate makers who are looking to understand why their tasting experience is unique.
