The Experience:

Chocolate is often seen as a guilty pleasure, but can it be a healthy pleasure? You tell me! Come join us for an insightful tasting that will go through the process of how chocolate is made, and the various impacts the manufacturing has on the healthful elements of your chocolate. This info will be discussed as we taste our way through a flight of high percentage dark chocolate (75%-100%) and cacao. Many people fear dark chocolate, but in this tasting you will be surprised how pleasant many of them can be (including 90-10%).

This is a great tasting for those who love to learn about how their food is made, nutritional aspects (both facts and myths) of chocolate, and enjoy or want to take the plunge into high percentage bars. What is the impact of chocolate on our cardiovascular system? What foods limit chocolate’s benefits, and are there any downsides to chocolate consumption? Come and find out.

About The Host: Working in chocolate since 2007, and is a chocolate sommelier, chocolateir, and chocolate maker. Created a bean-to-bar tasting compass, the bean-to-bar map app, and has hosted countless tasting and chocolate making classes over the years.
