It was OK
Great appearance and saddle-brown tone. The snap is relatively soft. As for the aroma, I didn’t find it particularly expressive on the nose. The main impressions are dried fruit, nutty notes, and a gentle sweetness, but overall, it isn’t especially aromatic. The flavor profile, however, is interesting. It is quite mild and delicate. I was expecting something a bit more pronounced and fruity. The texture is buttery and creamy, and the chocolate melts very quickly. Bitterness and tannins are very low, which makes the bar extremely smooth and approachable. There are delicate floral notes, along with light hints of citrus and ripe plantain, though they remain quite subtle. There are also clear notes of honey, dried fruits (golden raisin), blanched almond, macadamia, malted grain, and sourdough bread. There are also mild spicy notes, such as cinnamon and vanilla. The aftertaste is short, but it is also where the fruit notes become more noticeable. They are never sharp or sour, but they do become slightly more pronounced at this stage. This makes the bar quite interesting because it evolves on the palate. It begins slowly and rather delicately; then the fruit notes emerge in the mid-palate, and finally they become a bit more expressive in the aftertaste. That progression gives the tasting experience a nice sense of development and balance, which I found particularly enjoyable.
