Brazil’s Mission Chocolate has been a favourite at our shop for years – and if it’s one of your favourites too, here is a chance to meet the woman behind it all.

Arcelia Gallardo has been working with chocolate for 20 years as a chocolatier, chocolate maker, chocolate consultant/teacher, and is a proud daughter of a farmer. She travels throughout Latin America to work with cocoa farmers, chocolate makers, chocolatiers, and teaches Indigenous women how to make chocolate. Arcelia has traveled to 23 countries to learn about chocolate and cacao, from chocolatier boutiques in Paris to isolated communities in the jungles. She’s worked with Zapotec women in Oaxaca, Mayan women in Guatemala and Belize, Ngäbe women in Panama, and Inca women in Peru.

We will be tasting five different chocolates with Arcelia as she shares her thoughts, wisdom, and experiences in the world of chocolate. Don’t miss it!
